PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT

Pop Up Traveling Museum Exhibit

A Stone of Hope: Black Experiences in the Fox Cities is a “pop-up museum” about local Black/African American history from the 1700s to the present. This exhibit features twelve banners, richly illustrated with photographs of individuals, including members of African Heritage, Inc.  We proud to be a sponsor of this exhibit. It includes oral history videos of AHI members currently living in the area, demonstrating their experiences living in the area.  This is part of American history or ourstory.  Check it out at http://www.myhistorymuseum.org/a-stone-of-hope.html

  • Support their children in having a positive black identity
  • To talk about race in an honest and open way

Every October, Umoja provides a powerful culturally engaging weekend experience for the entire family, by offering age appropriate breakout sessions and large group cultural celebrations.
